Ecology and Environmental Protection
The Bachelor's degree programme in Ecology and Environmental Protection is designed in accordance with the requirements of the Ordinance on the Unified State Requirements, and graduates are awarded the professional qualification of Ecologist.
During their studies, students acquire fundamental knowledge in mathematics, computer science, physics, chemistry, biology, and biochemistry. They gain an understanding of the main mechanisms of soil, air, and water pollution, as well as the technologies used for their treatment and remediation. Building on this foundation, students develop both theoretical and practical competencies in waste management, air quality management, and water quality management.
Graduates are prepared for professional careers as specialists and managers at various levels within the Ministry of Environment and Water, research and design institutes, engineering and consulting firms, and environmental protection departments in companies, industrial enterprises, and municipal authorities. They are also qualified to work as experts in conducting Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) for industrial projects, urban development plans, and existing facilities.
