Professor Sotir Sotirov is the Rector of Burgas State University "Prof. Dr. Assen Zlatarov", an internationally recognized researcher and experienced academic leader. For more than 25 years, he has held key leadership positions at the University, serving as Head of Department, Vice Dean, and Vice Rector.
    His research focuses on Artificial Intelligence, Intelligent Systems, and Biomedicine. He is the author of more than 250 scientific publications, many of which are indexed in Scopus and Web of Science. Professor Sotirov has led more than 15 national and international research projects, including Centres of Excellence and Centres of Competence, and is among Bulgaria's leading researchers in the development of advanced scientific infrastructure and high technologies. He has received numerous prestigious national and international awards, including the distinguished IEEE Senior Member grade, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to science, innovation, and higher education.
