About the Faculty

The Faculty of Technical Sciences is the successor to the rich traditions in the field of chemical and technological education, established with the founding of the Higher Institute of Chemical Technology “Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov” – Burgas in 1963.

Today, the faculty educates highly qualified, broadly trained specialists in the fields of Materials Technology, Biotechnology, Computer Technologies, and Electronics.

So far, more than 6,500 engineers have graduated and are successfully working in the chemical and other industrial sectors, including over 150 foreign nationals from Europe, Asia, Africa, and America.

The Faculty of Technical Sciences has 58 educational and research laboratories with more than 750 workstations, equipped with specialized chemical and electronic equipment.

All programs at the Faculty of Technical Sciences have been accredited for education by the National Evaluation and Accreditation Agency.
